Transcendent Man

This is a story of the destiny of the human-machine civilization. A destiny we have come to refer to as the Singularity. - Ray Kurzweil

This may be off the topic of psychology; but an ingenious thought and theory that is at the tip of the human mind. Time released a story titled, 2045: The Year Man Becomes Immortal

A theory by man named Ray Kurzweil talks about the evolution of man in the age of human machines. A concept that combines man and machine seamlessly to create the perfect immortal human. The article goes on to say how can we still be human if we are immortal, if we combine ourselves, our genetic code with machinery. Artificial material that creates a new form of human. But are we still human if that is what we are turning ourselves into? Referring back to the quote by Ray Kurzweil, says, A destiny we have come to refer to is known as Singularity. What singularity means is a sudden jolt in technology, an exponential growth in the way technology, bio technology, and nano technology comes to pass. The technology will evolve into nano bots that live inside your bloodstream with your other blood cells evolving, learning and allowing us to become limitless.

Stay tuned for more. I would like to cover more about this in later posts.
